Biography
Dorota Zarowiecka is a Polish-born classical pianist and teacher based in Stockholm.
Born in Warsaw, Dorota Zarowiecka moved from Poland to Gothenburg in 1979 and settled in Stockholm in 1981. Her musical training took her from Sweden to Paris, including studies at the Conservatoire International de Musique.
Her repertoire includes Polish piano music and works by Albéniz, Gershwin and Piazzolla. International appearances include a 1996 United States tour with soprano Kristina Hansson and a 2022 recital with tenor John Schofield at Lisbon’s Palácio Fronteira.
Dorota’s past collaborations include performances with cellists Per Helders and Anna Nuzha, and with oboist Jean-Christophe Robert in Duo Passagio. Her teaching experience includes Nordiska Musikgymnasiet and Östermalms Musik & Kulturskola.
